Zusammenfassung

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking a Safety Associate I to oversee safety at assigned locations in Colorado. The role emphasizes de-escalation, crisis prevention, and a trauma-informed approach to maintain a secure environment for clients, staff, vendors, volunteers, and visitors.

Work location is 28101 E Quincy Ave., Watkins, CO 80137, with a Monday–Friday 11:00 PM–7:30 AM schedule. Valid driver’s license may be required, and the position includes a comprehensive benefits

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification within 90 days of employment is required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Experience with individuals experiencing homelessness or in human services preferred.
• Strong de-escalation and conflict resolution skills required.

Aufgaben

• Conduct regular inspections of assigned Coalition sites to ensure a safe environment.
• Assist staff in assessing potentially dangerous situations and intervene as necessary to prevent escalation.
• Escort employees as needed to promote staff safety.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Provide assistance in crisis situations requiring physical intervention while adhering to trauma-informed principles.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed.
• Document and submit reports on all incidents involving physical intervention.
• Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment.
• Participate in ongoing safety and de-escalation training.
• Ensure timely use of company systems and up-to-date records and future upgrades as directed.
• Foster an inclusive and respectful work environment that promotes teamwork.
