Job summary

Valley Vista in Bradford, VT seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in a substance use disorder treatment setting, including detoxification and MAT protocols.

You will conduct assessments, develop and monitor care plans, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, supervise staff, and ensure documentation is accurate and compliant with Vermont Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Current, active Vermont RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN or ADN).
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred depending on setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical and behavioral health assessments.
• Establish nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, modifying care plans as needed.
• Administer medications, including detoxification and MAT protocols, per provider orders.
• Respond to acute medical and behavioral health needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, APRNs, counselors, and case managers to support integrated care.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Direct and supervise LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safety protocols.
