Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for a Special Newborn Nursery position in Arizona. The role requires an active AZ or Compact RN license, BLS and NRP, STABLE, and 2+ years of RN with NICU/SCN experience. Shift is 12 hours, 36 hours weekly, for a 13-week assignment, with Allscripts EMR and orientation provided.

Ideal candidates have NICU exposure, are flexible for 12-hour nights, and can commit to the 13-week term. Travel housing and reimbursements are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• 2+ years of SCN/NICU experience preferred.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• NRP certification required.
• STABLE certification required.
• BSN not required.

Responsibilities

• Level III trauma acute care hospital setting.
• Special Newborn Nursery unit with 8 Level II SCN beds.
• Approximately 800 births per year.
• 24/7 NNP and Neonatology availability.
• 12-hour night shifts (1800-0630 and 0600-1830).
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Uses Allscripts EMR.
• Provide specialized nursing care to newborns in the Special Newborn Nursery.
• 8 hours of orientation provided.
• Cancellation policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment.
