Job summary

Canyon Creek Behavioral Health, a 102-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Temple, Texas, is seeking a PRN Night RN. The registered nurse will coordinate and evaluate patient care through the nursing process and collaborate with the health team to meet standards of care and practices.

Qualifications include an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), active TX RN license (or multi-state compact), and CPR; experience in psychiatric patient care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required.
• Bachelor degree from an accredited Nursing program preferred.
• Minimum one year of related psychiatric patient care experience preferred.
• Active RN license issued by TX BON or Maintain an active RN Multi state compact license.
• Handle with Care Training, Service Excellence Training, and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Document and reassess significant changes in the patient's condition in compliance with facility policy.
• Prioritize and formulate a plan of care based on patient assessment and according to policy.
• Prescribe and coordinate nursing care to patients during episodes of care.
• Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and risk management.
