Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery for night shifts with call. Experienced L&D nurses or those cross-trained into postpartum are preferred; sign-on bonus up to $20,000 is available. The role involves 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation and on-call duties.

New graduates may be considered. Base pay ranges from roughly $41.93 to $61.01 per hour, with additional compensation for on-call, overtime, and shift

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with current Virginia license or eligibility.
• Prefer experience in Labor & Delivery; cross-training into postpartum preferred.
• NRP within 6 months of hire; BLS within 90 days; obstetric nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care in a high-acuity unit.
• Cross-train into postpartum and support newborn care.
• Coordinate with obstetric team and physicians during labor, delivery, and post-partum care.
• Maintain patient safety and documentation per hospital policy.
