The Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery provides comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, monitoring fetal/maternal well-being, assisting with deliveries, and educating families.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas or compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP and other listed certifications per facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fetal and maternal well-being during labor and delivery.
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum care, including cesarean sections.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, and the care team.
• Document care accurately; maintain infection control and safety standards.
