Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in Missouri seeks an inpatient dialysis RN for the acute unit. The role provides bedside care in a 12-bed South, 4-bed North dialysis setting with portable dialysis support across the hospital.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, education, and collaboration with the interprofessional team. Requires RN licensure; two years hospital bedside experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree in nursing.
• RN license/registration is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for career advancement.
• Experience in hospital bedside nursing is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation per nursing standards.
• Educate patients and families on illness management and post-treatment home care.
• Participate in patient safety, quality and regulatory activities and professional development.
• Develop and document individualized plans of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate critical nursing skills and assess patient preferences and barriers to care.
