Job summary

SolutionHealth's Geropsychiatric Unit in Manchester, NH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the GPU. The RN delivers care to geriatric patients with complex psychiatric needs within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment across shifts.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with NH licensure, and be eligible for BLS during orientation. This full-time night position offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive work culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN or BSN – BSN preferred)
• Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate licensure as Registered Nurse required
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with complex psychiatric and medical needs.
• Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
• Embraces and promotes change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment.
• Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning, and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
• Utilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement.
• Demonstrates competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision making and critical thinking skills
