Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an RN Clinical Charge Nurse for the Columbia County Medical Center in Georgia. The role directs daily unit activities during night shifts (3/12s), ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.

The Charge Nurse collaborates with licensed and unlicensed staff under Nurse Managers and WellStar governance, balancing patient care with staffing and operational needs. Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor’s in Nursing with current licensure;

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred.
• All certifications are required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience required; 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily unit activities on an assigned shift to ensure safe patient care.
• Lead and delegate tasks; manage staff schedules and patient flow.
• Engage in physician rounding and committee activities; support survey readiness.
• Collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team to maintain high-quality care.
