Job summary

MelroseWakefield Hospital, part of Tufts Medicine, seeks a qualified Respiratory Therapist to join at Melrose/Wakefield Campus. You will deliver gas and aerosol therapies, ventilator support, and CPR as part of a diverse care team.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree, MA license, CRT or RRT, and BLS. Two years’ experience preferred; bachelor’s degree preferred. Rotating shifts, 36 hours weekly, night differential, and cross-training opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care.
• Massachusetts respiratory care license required.
• CRT or RRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary care to patients of all ages.
• Administer and document procedures; communicate recommendations to physicians/nurses.
• Maintain blood gas machines and collect/draw samples per policy.
• Provide adult and geriatric ventilator care and aerosol/therapy.
• Perform suctioning as needed and document treatments.
