Job summary

Cynet Health in New London, CT seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The role demands at least 2 years of experience, active CT or RI licenses (one allowed to start), and BLS certification. Pediatric experience is required.

Shifts are 4x10-hour blocks (mid and night) with every other weekend/holiday. You’ll perform ABG collection, suctioning, BiPAP/CPAP care, EKG interpretation, and provide care across all ages, with EPIC charting and potential facility travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Pediatrics experience required
• CT or RI state licenses required (one active license acceptable to start)
• BLS certification required
• Proficient in arterial blood gases interpretation and airway management
• Knowledge of BiPAP, Bubble CPAP, and CPAP/Nasal CPAP

Responsibilities

• Assist in high-risk deliveries and neonatal care as needed
• Draw arterial blood gases and collect sputum specimens
• Perform suctioning (oral/nasal and ETT)
• Provide tracheostomy care and management
• Interpret basic EKG and monitor patient status
• Familiarity with EPIC charting and documentation
• Flexibility to float to other facilities as needed
• Care for patients across all ages from neonates to geriatrics
