Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with 3+ years of experience for a night shift assignment caring for medically complex pediatric patients.

The role requires active CRT or RRT credentials, BLS, and state licensure by start date. Prior travel, pediatric critical care experience, and familiarity with ventilators and airway support are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential required.
• BLS certification required.
• State license by start date (pending license accepted).
• Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• Prior travel assignment experience required.
• Pediatric critical care and LTAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for medically complex pediatric patients in a Pediatric Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit.
• Care for patients with cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, birth injury, trauma, SMA, Trisomy 21 and Rett syndrome.
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:10.
• Utilize CPT machine, Volera, Metaneb, cough assist devices, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and tracheostomy care equipment.
• Record care in PointClickCare (preferred).
• Work night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts 18:00–06:00; every other weekend.
• Provide comprehensive respiratory care including tracheostomies and ventilation support.
• Administer aerosol therapy, nebulizers, and airway management as needed.
• Collaborate with pediatric care team for chronic and acute respiratory conditions.
• Full 7-year work history with gaps explained for consideration.
• Occasional holiday work; minimize time off, especially in first two weeks.
