Job summary

Clara Maass Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive care for inpatients and outpatients during night shifts. The role involves administering inhalants, operating ventilators, and conducting bronchopulmonary procedures under physician direction.

Ideal candidates hold an NJ license, RRT/CRT credentials, and BLS certification, and are prepared to work full-time on the Respiratory Care team in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist is required.
• Current NJ Respiratory license is required.
• RRT/CRT (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Helps patient accomplish treatment plan and, supports life by administering inhalants, and operating mechanical ventilators.
• Therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators. Administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing bronchopulmonary drainage.
• Assisting with breathing exercises; monitoring physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes; and directing treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants.
