Responsibilities

• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of contemporary Respiratory Therapy principles.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses in planning and implementing patient care plans.
• Complete the department orientation program and any unit-specific orientation as required.
• Assist physicians with delivery and direction of Respiratory Therapy.
• Operate and maintain complex ventilatory support systems, monitoring and resuscitation devices.
• Perform respiratory care procedures, patient assessments, diagnostic procedures and oxygen therapy.
• Engage in other patient care functions as qualified.
