Job summary

HonorHealth - Osborn Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Night Shift Respiratory Therapist to set up, operate and manage respiratory care equipment on general floors and in critical care areas.

The ideal candidate has an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program, RCP/RRT credentials, and BLS. Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred; 6 months network float experience acceptable. Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2 year AMA approved Respiratory Care program is required.
• Graduate of a 4 year Bachelor level or AMA approved Respiratory Care program is preferred.
• Experience as Respiratory Therapist is required; 6 months for network float; 1 year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates and administers respiratory care equipment and procedures.
• Performs arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, co-oximetry, ECGs, electrolytes and other pulmonary function tests.
• Operates and monitors mechanical ventilators and manages artificial airways.
• Documents therapies and patient responses in medical record.
• Performs routine respiratory care and oxygen administration across age groups.
• Assists with resuscitations and traumas as assigned.
