Job summary

Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc. in Hicksville, NY is seeking a full-time specimen processing support role for the night shift (10:00pm-6:30am).

You will follow laboratory procedures, prepare specimens for testing, and help manage department workloads in a fast-paced clinical lab setting. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and strong computer/data entry skills; prior lab or medical experience and knowledge of medical terminology are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong computer and data entry skills are required.
• Previous lab or medical experience is a plus; knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen processing and handling.
• Prepare specimens to be sent out to reference laboratories for testing.
• Build loads for department work lists.
• Locate archived specimens.
