Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for night shifts. You will perform radiographs to support physicians in diagnosis, and you will work accurately and compassionately within a Level II Trauma Center with rotating call assignments.

Responsibilities include image quality, patient positioning, MEDITECH documentation, and collaboration with radiologists and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist with ARRT (R) certification.
• Active Florida DOH licensure (CRT) required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in an acute-care hospital is preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographs (x-rays) of patients to assist physicians in diagnosis/treatment.
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images with proper markers and date/time stamps.
• Ensure only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
• Adjust technical factors to accommodate patient needs and use contrast media when indicated.
• Position patients safely and maintain modesty using supporting equipment.
• Document clinical information before exams and ensure MEDITECH fields are complete and accurate.
• Maintain communication with patients, radiologists and care team.
• Keep equipment area clean and stocked to prevent contamination.
