Job summary
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of general radiology experience and ARRT(R) certification for a night shift position.
Work includes producing high quality diagnostic images, patient preparation, and radiation safety. Night schedule is 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 36 hours weekly across 3 shifts; KY license required by start of assignment and the position may involve training students.
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required.
- State Radiology Tech License required; license required if applicable.
- BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Radiology department setting.
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Saturday through Monday.
- 36 hours per week across 3 shifts.
- 4 call shifts required per month.
- Produce and retain high quality diagnostic images meeting department, organizational, and industry standards.
- Prepare patients for procedures, provide education, and respond to questions or concerns.
- Apply radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Demonstrate understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques.
- Oversee and train students providing patient care as part of their training.
- Apply age-appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, and patient education.
