Qualifications

• Requires a Vocational/Technical Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• 0–1 year experience in radiology preferred.
• Certified Radiography (R) (ARRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures per department protocols.
• Identify the patient according to hospital policy.
• Explain the exam to patient and/or family members.
• Set up procedure room and equipment for the exam.
• QA the exam on PACS before interpretation release.
• Follow established radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Maintain documentation and ensure correct procedure is performed.
• Wear protective equipment and monitor exposure times.
