Job summary

Sanford Health in the United States is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with a focus on patient positioning and image quality. The role operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, nights (9:00 pm–7:00 am) with attractive shift differentials and potential sign-on bonuses.

The position requires ARRT-accepted education, active ARRT registration, and compliance with state licensure rules where applicable.

Qualifications

• Completion of an educational program accepted by ARRT is required.
• Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection is required.
• Registration with the ARRT is required.
• If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is required.
• If working in South Dakota, candidates must obtain their ARRT certification within 60 days of hire.
• In the state of Iowa, all technologists must have a permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health in order to practice in the state of Iowa
• If working at some clinic locations, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be required within the first eight weeks of hire into the position.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
• Driver's license may be required, dependent upon department.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain proper radiation protection practices.
• Deliver patient care and education before, during, and after imaging procedures.
• Navigate the EMR system and document procedures.
• Be prepared for on-call rotation nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• May perform mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures.
