Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated Radiology support staff member for the 11pm–7am shift in Milford, CT. You will assist with patient flow, prepare exam rooms, and support technologists during portable x-ray rounds while ensuring patient care and safety.

Qualified candidates have a high school education (with medical terminology training), at least 3 months of related experience, and BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 3 months of related experience required.
• Ability to use personal computers and data terminals for recording, verifying and retrieving information.
• BLS certification required; if not obtained at hire, must be obtained within 30 days.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative patient care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and prepare patients for exams to minimize wait times.
• Verify patient information using computer-based systems; print schedules and check exam status.
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary equipment and assist technicians with procedures.
• Assist radiology technologists on portable x-ray rounds and positioning equipment.
• Assist patients with mobility and comfort as needed, including bathroom assistance.
