Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC seeks a motivated radiology technologist for overnight coverage, Tue–Fri 10:30pm–7:00am. Join a 660-bed hospital team delivering quality imaging across ER, inpatient, OR, endoscopy and more. Strong teamwork, safety, and accurate PACS workflows are essential.

The role offers a full-time schedule with a commitment incentive and opportunities to contribute to patient care during the night shift.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent program completed.
• Registered radiologic technologist or registry eligible with timely registration.
• BLS certification required and maintenance of credentials.
• Must adhere to radiation safety practices and facility protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine radiology procedures and tests to obtain diagnostic data.
• Assist radiologist with complex procedures and contrast administration as needed.
• Prepare patients, verify demographics and orders, and ensure image quality and PACS transmission.
• Maintain equipment, document procedures, and monitor safety and infection control.
• Utilize RIS, PACS, and related systems to manage exams and patient data.
• Assess patient condition, respond to emergencies, and ensure timely, accurate care.
