Job summary

The McLean Hospital Corporation is seeking staff for an overnight position (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) with a $4.25 night shift differential per hour. The role involves assisting RNs to provide direct patient care in a psychiatric inpatient setting, with emphasis on documentation, patient safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, at least 1 year of clinical experience (preferably psychiatric), and completion of Epic training within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One year of clinical experience, preferably in a psychiatric setting; 1–2 years preferred; direct patient care experience preferred.
• Must complete and pass Epic training within 30 days of hire.
• Successful passing (80% or higher) of Epic training modules is a minimum requirement of the job.

Responsibilities

• Assists the RN in providing direct patient care.
• Accurate and timely documentation of AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets.
• Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries.
• Participates in patient rounds or teams.
• Completes patient care assignments.
• Intervenes in managing crisis situations and patient schedules while promoting safety.
• Communicates changes in patient status to RN.
