Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a respiratory therapy technician training program or related healthcare coursework preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in respiratory care or related field preferred.
• Experience in respiratory therapy, pulmonary function testing, or oxygen therapy support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed therapists in basic respiratory treatments including oxygen and aerosol therapies.
• Observe and monitor patients during treatments and report observations to supervising staff.
• Clean, maintain and set up respiratory equipment following safety protocols.
• Record treatments and patient responses in medical records as directed.
• Prepare supplies and ensure equipment functionality and stock levels.
• Educate patients and families on basic respiratory exercises under supervision.
• Adhere to department policies, safety and infection prevention protocols.
