Job summary

Taylor Corporation, a leading print and communications firm, is seeking a Press / Print Operating Technician to join our Dallas team. You will set up/adjust presses, monitor quality, and run jobs according to detailed specifications.

This night shift operates 7:00pm–7:00am on a 2/2/3 schedule with alternating weekends. Candidates should have mechanical/technical aptitude, math skills to read rulers, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and technical skills/aptitude.
• Basic math skills to read ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization.
• Ability to operate equipment to meet production and quality standards.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions for work orders.
• Ability to communicate professionally.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out instructions from job orders and correct errors.
• Set up/adjust press for job runs to meet specifications.
• Monitor product quality during runs and correct issues.
• Monitor equipment for mechanical problems and refer to maintenance.
• Initiate startup and run jobs per production schedule.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
• Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and keep workspace clean.
• Complete with accuracy related logs and paperwork.
