Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Night Porter for 3p-11p to perform comprehensive floor maintenance across a wide range of areas within the facility. The role includes dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting to keep resident spaces and public areas spotless and safe.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to follow detailed daily assignments and project assignments as instructed by supervisor.
• Capable of operating cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull required weights throughout shift.

Responsabilités

• Perform floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet: dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting.
• Maintain floors in offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and public areas such as dining rooms.
• Adhere to company policies and applicable regulations; attend required trainings.

Night Porter 3p-11p

The Porter position will take direction from the Director of Housekeeping and is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, soiled linens/trash rooms and other public areas such as dining rooms.

Perform work duties in accordance with company policies, federal and state laws, local standards and guidelines, OSHA, and other applicable regulations. Attend all company-designated training as required by manager.

Requirements

• The ability to follow written and oral instructions is essential.
• The ability to follow detailed daily assignments and project assignments as instructed by Executive Housekeeper.
• The ability to lift 10 to 15lb. buckets of water from a cart to a sink a minimum of 15 times per day.
• The ability to push or pull housekeeping carts weighing up to 40lbs. throughout the facility
• The ability to bend at the knees, waist, and neck up to 75 times per day while performing assigned duties.
• The ability to sweep and mop in a side-to-side motion for periods of 1 to 10 minutes as many as 25 times per day.
• Must be able to respond to a verbal paging system in the appropriate manner.
• Must be capable of functioning with minimal supervision.
• Must be capable of operating necessary equipment safely in order to satisfy job requirements: High and low speed buffing machines; high speed burnishing machine; commercial carpet extraction machinery and vacuum cleaners; and wet/dry vacuums.
• Must be able to deal with residents, family members, and facility staff in a professional and appropriate manner.
