Valmont Industries, Inc. in Brenham, TX is looking for a Crane Operator for the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 11 PM – 7 AM). You will operate an outdoor plate crane, move materials, and support storeroom, shipping, and manufacturing functions.

The role requires reading tape measures and micrometers, forklift/straddle truck experience, and completion of overhead crane training. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outside in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Read tape measure and micrometer.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract/decimals/fractions).
• Become a certified forklift operator.
• Operate a straddle truck proficiently.
• Complete overhead crane training program.

Responsibilities

• Operate outside plate crane to support storeroom, shipping and manufacturing.
• Measure dimensions of raw material using tape measure and micrometer.
• Move product with forklifts and straddle trucks.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and assist with staging, loading, and shipping.
• Perform cycle counts and use picklists for inventory moves.
• Load materials on trailers and stage loaded trailers in the staging area.
