Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Plant Operator (Night) in Cheyenne, WY to manage the loading, weighing, and packaging of dry ice products in alignment with customer orders. You will inspect finished goods for weight, density, and packaging integrity, and operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely while ensuring accurate production documentation.

The role requires 18+ and a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference for 1 year of production experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percent.

Responsibilities

• Loading & Packaging: Perform the daily loading, weighing, and packaging of dry ice products into various containers (blocks, pellets, slices) based on customer orders.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect all finished products to ensure they meet the company’s strict quality standards regarding weight, density, and packaging integrity.
• Equipment Operation: Operate production machinery and material handling equipment (such as forklifts or pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
• Documentation: Accurate logging of production numbers, shipping manifests, and inventory usage.
