Job summary

Englewood Health seeks a qualified Physician Assistant to join our inpatient Surgical Services team on nights. You will round on inpatients, assist in the operating room, and provide cross-coverage across several surgical subspecialties during night hours.

The role requires NJ PA licensure, NCCPA certification, and DEA/NJ CDS registration, with 2–3 years of PA inpatient surgical experience preferred. Competitive benefits and a strong team environment accompany this full-time position near NYC.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant program with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Current NJ Physician Assistant License.
• Current NCCPA Certification.
• DEA and NJ CDS registration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• 2–3 years of Physician Assistant inpatient surgical experience preferred.
• Highly motivated graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Obtain history and perform physical exams of inpatients and write orders.
• Conduct overnight rounds to monitor clinical status and patient safety.
• Collaborate with intensivists and surgeons to manage surgical issues in ICU.
• Order diagnostic studies and interpret lab data and imaging.
• Assist in emergency or overnight surgeries across multiple specialties.
• Perform bedside procedures under surgeon direction, including wound care.
