Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is hiring a Phlebotomy Technician to join the Medical Laboratory Team. You will work overnight with a dedicated team, helping ease patient anxiety during blood draws and supporting ongoing education and training opportunities.

The role requires performing blood collection, specimen processing, and accurate labeling while coordinating with processing areas. A High School Diploma or GED is required; Phlebotomy Certification is preferred, with at least one year

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical proficiency with standard phlebotomy procedures and tools.
• Formal Phlebotomy Certification preferred and 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures and venipuncture; maintain logs.
• Verify orders and patient information prior to drawing blood.
• Label specimens and deliver to processing area.
• Process specimens and complete tasks such as accessioning, centrifugation, and packaging.
• Pickup and deliver blood samples and lab supplies.
