Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Phlebotomist - Inpatient for Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. The role is per diem with night shifts (10pm–6:30am or 10pm–2am) and rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities include collecting, labeling and processing specimens and entering orders in the LIS system. Hiring new team members who have phlebotomy training (100 clinical hours), CPR, and a valid IL driver’s license with auto insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program with at least 100 clinical hours.
• Current CPR (BLS) certification.
• Valid Illinois driver's license and auto insurance.
• Starting rate of $19.25 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, collects, logs and labels specimens for testing.
• Performs pre-analytical processing/ordering of specimens arriving in the lab.
• Registers patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system.
• Arranges specimens for further processing by Laboratory staff.
