Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Tennessee is seeking a Laboratory - Clinical staff member to support phlebotomy and specimen processing in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires collecting venous and capillary samples, registering orders in EMR/LIS, and maintaining quality and patient care. Shift 8pm-6:30am with emphasis on accuracy, communication, and teamwork; high school diploma and less than 1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with patient-care focus.
• Experience with phlebotomy and specimen handling preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR/LIS systems and specimen accessioning.

Responsibilities

• Collect venous and capillary blood specimens.
• Handle chain of custody for urine and venous samples.
• Accession, label, and transport specimens for testing.
• Register orders in EMR/LIS and operate LIS software.
• Support technologists and lab leadership as needed.
