Day Kimball Health is seeking a Phlebotomist/Laboratory Assistant for the Putnam, CT lab. The role involves collecting blood specimens, prepping samples for microbiology, and performing select CLIA-waived tests.

You will work with 2nd and 3rd shift teams to support laboratory operations. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma, phlebotomy certification preferred, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma minimum; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in clinical lab settings preferred; valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens from patients using venipuncture or micro-puncture techniques.
• Plate specimens for microbiology and prepare samples for analysis.
• Operate instruments and place samples on analyzers; perform some CLIA-waived tests.
• Instruct patients on urine sample collection and ensure chain of custody.
