Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the third shift team. You will assist in dispensing medications under supervision, support retail pharmacy operations, and provide patient-focused service across the health system.

Responsibilities include accurate medication processing with bar coding, using POS systems, and supporting pharmacists with non-sterile compounding when directed. Prior pharmacy-experience and valid Kansas registration preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year pharmacy technician or healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Properly use dispensing and bar coding technology to ensure accurate medication selection, counting, labeling, and dispensing of prescriptions.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, prescribers, and other team members; triage calls/patients/tasks as needed.
• Dispense prescriptions using the point-of-sale system and ensure proper payment collection.
• Check medication outdates monthly for assigned areas.
• Prepare simple non-sterile compounds under the direction of a pharmacist when required.
