Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join the Valley Retail Pharmacy in Fayetteville, NC. The role focuses on safe medication use, clinical interventions, and supervision of technicians to support patient care.

The successful candidate will hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, be licensed or eligible in NC, and ideally have board certification. Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Licensed Pharmacist by NC Board of Pharmacy required or eligible to become licensed.
• Board Certification preferred.
• No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and review medication orders for dosage, interactions, and incompatibilities.
• Enter medication orders into the computer and dispense medications.
• Supervise technicians and orient new employees.
• Perform comprehensive medication order interpretation and entry.
• Maintain a safe working environment and relationships with hospital staff.
• Participate in organizational improvement activities.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
