Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida is seeking a patient care technician for the night shift. You will perform treatments and deliver patient care aligned with age, mobility, acuity, and culture, while adhering to safety and isolation practices.

Requirements include High School Grad or Equiv, BLS, CNA, CPCT/NCPCT or EMT certifications, and 1+ years of PCT experience preferred. Competitive benefits begin on day one and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit or similar role [Preferred]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required]
• CPCT/NCPCT or EMT certification variants may be required
• Florida background screening as applicable

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Follows isolation guidelines, uses protective equipment, and supports safety standards.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Assists in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment and supports the care team as directed.
