Job summary

AdventHealth Zephyrhills is seeking a patient care technician to join the night shift in Florida. You will perform treatments and provide patient care appropriate to age, mobility and culture, while supporting safety, isolation guidelines, and quality initiatives under the direction of a registered nurse.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team, document procedures, and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Work Experience: 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy
• Assists in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse
