Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is hiring a Patient Care Technician/Nursing Assistant for the night shift. You will perform treatments under the direction of a registered nurse and assist with age-appropriate patient care while maintaining a safe, compassionate environment.

Required are a High School Grad or equivalent and BLS, CNA, CPCT/A, EMT certifications. At least 1 year of PCT experience is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equ [Required]
• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required]
• Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Required]
• Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Required]

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Assists in identifying patient needs.
