Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician. You will support admission and discharge, take vitals, assist with daily care, and provide patient-centered assistance under a nurse's supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of Sentara Care Partner Certification Program or CNA/NCMA/NCPCT would be beneficial.
• Current student enrolled in a clinical program or recent Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and monitor patient conditions.
• Perform blood draws and routine care tasks.
• Assist with admission/discharge and daily patient activities.
• Provide bathing, ambulation, and basic nursing support under supervision of a nurse.
• Foley catheter care and other patient comfort measures.
