Job summary

Mercy Hospital – W Memorial Rd in Oklahoma is seeking a Night shift PCA to assist in individualized patient care under the direction of a nurse. You will work within the Emergency Department as part of a collaborative team to deliver essential clinical and non-clinical support.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of Mercy's 175-hour training if needed, and BLS within one month. Lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC or Mercy coworker.
• Experience: 175-hour training program provided by Mercy if no prior experience, within 90 days.
• Certifications: BLS within one month of hire; PCA competencies within 3 months.
• Physical: ability to lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing and walking; bend, kneel, reach and squat.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under RN or LPN direction.
• Work cooperatively as part of a care team to meet group goals.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.
