Job summary

Y. Hata & Co., Limited is hiring for an order picker/warehouse associate in Hawaii. You will pull orders using a voice picking system and build pallets for delivery, stacking cases and labeling for shipping.

The role involves operating a pallet truck and possibly a high reach truck, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and adherence to food-handling standards. One year of distribution or warehouse experience is preferred, especially in foodservice.

Responsibilities

• Counts or weighs items to ensure conformance with standards.
• Ensures products are free from damage and pest infestation.
• Prepares pallets with labeling for shipping.
• Follows safety standards for food handling and rotation.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Upholds the company Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values.

Starting Pay: $20 per hour

Work Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 5PM to 1AM

Position Summary Description:

Pulls customer orders using a pick ticket and voice command system and builds pallets for delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• 1. Pulls customer orders from warehouse pick slots by utilizing a voice picking system and a pallet truck or high reach truck.
• 2. Stacks cases according to company standards and builds pallets to be loaded onto delivery trucks.
• 3. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, in preparation for final check and delivery.
• 4. Marks materials with identifying information.
• 5. Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance with company standards.
• 6. Ensures that all products stored and/or selected for delivery are free from damage and/or pest infestation.
• 7. Compiles storage and/or selection date for daily reports.
• 8. Prepares pallets for shipping with appropriate labeling information.
• 9. Follows established safety standards for proper food handling and date rotation procedures.
• 10. Performs similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• 11. Uses the Company's Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles.

Qualifications:

One year of distribution or warehouse experience, preferably in the foodservice industry.

Physical Demands:

Frequently required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
