Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the night shift (11p-7a) to support physicians and nurses with direct patient care. You will assist with activities of daily living, transport patients, help with meals, and maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma (or equivalent) and some patient care experience; CNA/BLS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• CNA Certification preferred.
• Nursing Students preferred.
• 1-2 years previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities.
• Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
• Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
