Job summary

This Respiratory Therapist role involves managing ventilation, delivering therapy, educating families, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a high-volume, advanced setting.

Qualifications

• NBRC‑RRT certification required.
• RRT/RCP‑State license required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• BLS must be current at start date.
• NRP required within 90 days of employment.
• PALS required within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status with focused exams, breath sounds, and airway patency to guide interventions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosols, airway clearance, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.
• Manage artificial airways and ventilation, monitor patient responses, and adjust therapy as needed.
• Educate patients and families, act as a clinical resource, and collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensure infection-prevention standards, and transport ventilated patients safely.
