Job summary

British American Household Staffing seeks a night newborn care specialist to support a Seattle family for 8-12 weeks, starting in early October. This is a live-out role requiring the candidate to have local housing for off days and occasional overnight stays when visiting a second home about 1.5 hours away.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of newborn care, CPR/first-aid, up-to-date vaccines, and a calm, child‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of newborn care experience.
• CPR and first aid certification required (renewal before start).
• Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, flu).
• Commutable distance to Seattle; own housing for off days and reliable transportation.
• Willing to travel to a second home ~1.5 hours outside Seattle; occasional overnight stays with notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive newborn care including feeding, bathing, and diaper changes.
• Perform baby laundry and sanitizing of items; maintain hygiene and a clean environment.
• Engage the baby with age-appropriate activities and outdoor time.
• Follow parents’ preferences and support a calm, family-centered approach.
• Log feedings and diaper changes; track pertinent baby information.
• Adhere to AAP safe sleep guidelines and ensure safety at all times.
