Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Neurosciences department at the New Brunswick campus. This full-time role is dedicated to providing overnight coverage for patients in acute care, especially in neurology and stroke cases.

The ideal candidate will possess the necessary credentials, including NJ APN PA licensure, and have a solid background in acute patient care. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including medical insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Current NJ APN PA license required.
• 3-5 years of inpatient or acute care experience in Neurology and/or stroke.
• Must be adaptable and able to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight coverage for neurology and stroke consult services.
• Adhere to stroke protocols to align with comprehensive stroke designation.
• Work collaboratively with faculty and neurology residency program.

Skills

Inpatient or acute patient care experience

Ability to handle high volume, high acuity service lines

Sound clinical decision-making

Education

Graduate of an Acute Care NP program

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

Tools
