Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an MRI Technologist for a night shift. The role involves independent imaging procedures, patient safety, and adherence to protocols, with a 90-day contract. You will maintain MR safety, read orders, and coordinate with physicians to ensure high-quality imaging.

Requirements include ARRT Radiologic Tech or MR registry (CNMT/ARMRIT/ARDMS), MR registry within 18 months, 2+ years of experience, and BLS. State Acts compliance is also required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited MR registry program.
• MR registry must be obtained within 18 months of the primary registry (12 months if CNMT/ARDRMS/ARMRIT).
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS certification required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Completion of state-specific Acts (Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73) as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MR safety and clinical competency for all exams and equipment.
• Perform procedures for reviewing, processing, and archiving imaging data.
• Read and present relevant information to physicians prior to exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocols.
• Review patient history and orders to ensure optimal results and proper contrast administration.
• Document patient history in electronic records.
• Interact with patients and co-workers with compassion and professionalism.
• Collaborate within the department and with other departments to expedite patient care.
• Communicate instructions clearly to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Ensure exams are properly coded, tracked, and charged as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
