Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform prescribed MRI procedures and ensure high-quality diagnostic images. The role involves night shifts, adherence to safety, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities include patient education, equipment QC, and maintaining registered professional standards. ARRT and/or modality licensure, state licensure as applicable, and BLS are required, with MRI certification

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required (national) and/or modality licensure (NMTCB, ARDMS, ARMRIT).
• State licensure where applicable.
• MRI advanced certification required within 18 months of hire.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow orders to perform prescribed imaging procedures.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and processes.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and document appropriately.
• Demonstrate competence in invasive/interventional MRI procedures as policies allow.
• Perform quality control on imaging equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional/ethical standards.
• Support department workflow and inventory to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Provide safe, patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary team.
