Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer at least one year of MRI experience.
• Requires ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, or ARRT (R) with 12-month timeline to MR/ARMRIT.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Alternative ARRT (R) certification with 12‑month advancement plan.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures with minimal supervision as appropriate.
• Verifies and processes orders using electronic systems.
• Maintains infection control and a clean, organized environment.
• Educates patients and families about the MRI procedure.
• Monitors patient condition and documents changes and equipment needs.
• Processes images and prints films as needed.
• Attends staff and departmental meetings and hospital groups.
• Adheres to C-I-CARE standards for patient interactions.
