Job summary

Voyages Behavioral Health in Sugar Land, TX seeks a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to observe and document patient information, assist with admission and discharge, and support ongoing care. The role involves patient interaction, observation, and helping with activities and education under RN supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS certification, and state-specific CNA certification when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification as required by state.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and record patient information relevant to the treatment plan.
• Welcome new patients through admission protocols and assist with discharge processes.
• Maintain direct patient observation and help patients perform ADLs; support nursing staff by taking vital signs.
• Lead patient education, community, goal, and activity groups in coordination with the care team.
