Job summary

Gifted Healthcare seeks a MedSurg RN to provide bedside care for a variety of patients in a nighttime shift. The role involves conducting individualized patient assessments to tailor plans of care and preparing equipment for examinations and treatments performed by physicians.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring for adverse symptoms and adjusting actions as needed, and performing dressings, catheter insertions, and IV starts as required.

Qualifications

• MedSurg RNs provide bedside care for a variety of patients and execute individualized patient assessments to create an individualized plan of care.
• MedSurg RNs prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities

• MedSurg RNs prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications
• Initiate alternative action when adverse symptomology is displayed
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs when necessary
